Urgent Patient Notice - Ramipril
Published: 22 April 2026 · Practice newsWe have been advised of an issue affecting some patients who have been prescribed RAMIPRIL tablets (used to treat high blood pressure, heart failure and kidney disease).
The issue concerns a batch produced by CRESCENT PHARMA LTD. In some packets there is a risk that strips of RAMIPRIL 5mg have been packaged alongside RAMIPRIL 10mg.
The issue relates to those patients who have been prescribed RAMIPRIL 10mg tablets. The batch number affected is GR174091.
Please can we ask all patients prescribed this medication to review their personal supplies.
If any patient finds they have a supply of the affected batch they should check that the carton contains the correct medication at the correct dose. The batch number and expiry date information can be found on the outer carton.
Upon checking, if you find any strips that are labelled and contain 5mg Ramipril you should return any remaining medication immediately to the pharmacy which dispensed the medication to you.
